Issue: The user does not exist or is not unique in share point 2013,when we check the user in people picker.

Solution: This issue could be of many reasons, In this article I am providing all the relevant solutions to resolve the issue.

Solution 1: ensure that there is no space, The most common issue that occurs with the above is inadvertently adding a space character between the elements of the path.

For example:
instead of OU=Users,DC=CONTOSO,DC=COM you type OU=Users, DC=CONTOSO,DC=COM

Solution 2: Ensure that the user account is not in Disabled state in AD.

Solution 3: Ensure that the user account is not Locked out state in AD

August 2014 Cumulative Update for the SharePoint 2010.

This CU includes all SharePoint 2010 fixes released since SP1. The CU does not include SP2.

The KB article for August CU is available at the following locations:

• KB 2883011 - WAC and Word Server for SharePoint 2010
• Be aware that no project server related fixes were released in this CU

Note:

1.   Be aware that for SharePoint Server you have to install the SharePoint Foundation and WAC and Word Server fixes as well!

2.   After installing the fixes you need to run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm.

3.   Be aware that the August Cumulative Update for SharePoint 2010 is a Post-SP2 hot fix. It is recommended to have SP2 installed before installing the August CU.

4.   It is highly recommended to install SP2 and July 2014 CU before installing August 2014 CU!

 August 2014 Cumulative Update for the SharePoint 2013 released

Previous releases of the SharePoint Server 2013 cumulative update included both the executable and the .CAB file in the same self-extracting executable download. Because of the file size, the SharePoint Server 2013 package has been divided into several separate downloads. One contains the executable file, while the others contain the CAB file. All are necessary and must be placed in the same folder to successfully install the update. All are available by clicking the same Hot fix Download Available link in the KB article for the release.

Create site: The New-Sp Web cmdlet creates a new site in the existing site collection specified by the Url parameter. You can create a site with a specific default language by specifying the Language parameter. If no language is specified, the site is created with the same language that was specified when the product was installed. You can create a site from a specific template by specifying the Template parameter. If no template is specified, the site is created and the template can be provided later or by the first user to log on

New-SPWeb http://expertsharepoint/subweb1 -Template "STS#0"

Delete site: Deleting the top level Web site of a site collection causes the entire site collection to be removed

Remove-SPWeb http://expertsharepoint/subsite
