Migrate infopath forms to sharepoint online:

Migrate infopath forms to sharepoint online:

How do I migrate InfoPath to SharePoint Online?

InfoPath enables developers to build custom forms, customize List/Library forms, customize workflow association, and task forms.
InfoPath forms (XSN files) can be migrated, but some forms may not function without remediation.
SharePoint Online classic sites support InfoPath forms but not modern sites.

Migration Limitation:

  1. Modern site templates do not support InfoPath forms. The browser based forms would be displayed as XML.
  2. InfoPath forms are currently not supported on the Modern experience list, it can only work in the classic experience list.
  3. InfoPath forms with SOAP calls and Managed code are not supported in SharePoint Online.
  4. InfoPath forms that leverage people picker fields need to be updated with the new user's identity post-migration.
  5. After migration, the User or site owner needs to re-publish all the forms into a new list or library.
  6. Users must implement required changes to make it work in SharePoint Online.

Recommendation:

Site Owners need to ensure the InfoPath forms function correctly post-migration.

The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation error

The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation error

When I am working on InfoPath forms that is downloaded from Google. Uploaded in My test site and tried to open the Form. It welcomes with error” The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation error. Errors are marked with either a red asterisk (required filed) or a red, dashed border (invalid values)”

Solution:
1.   Ensure that the InfoPath feature enabled in list
2.   Open the list in InfoPath via list tab > customize form
3.   It will open up newform.aspx in InfoPath
4.   Once it is open check mandatory fields available in that form.
5.   Make sure all mandatory fields are available and deployed in newform.aspx
6.   If you don’t want them to be displayed in newform.aspx just remove mandatory option
7.   Republish the form and check behavior

If the above does not resolves the issue then it was a hidden field with an invalid value which caused the problem
